I’m not a wrestler. I’m not the promoter. I’m just the guy behind a camera.
But for the last little while, I’ve been lucky enough to film something special.
This year marks 20 years of Innovative Hybrid Wrestling... a local promotion that’s outlived trends, stood through eras, and somehow still finds a way to make small-town arenas feel larger than life.
You can’t fake the energy in that room. You can’t script what it’s like to see a kid light up when their favourite wrestler walks through the curtain. You can’t bottle up two decades of sweat, stories, and community… but I’m doing my best to capture it, frame by frame.
What I’ve seen through the lens isn’t just “independent wrestling.”
It’s commitment.
It’s resilience.
It’s a family of fans, talent, and crew that have kept this thing alive for 20 years and counting.
There’s no million dollar lights.
No stadium pyro.
Just heart.
And that’s what I’m here to show you.
Because IHW isn’t just still going.
It’s still growing.
