Due to the wet field conditions and the weather forecast, we have made the decision to move inside to the Steele Community Centre.

We have an excellent lineup of entertainment, vendors on site with delicious snacks and food (Hare Bay Adventures, Island Pizza and Geno's Grill), a bouncy castle, treats and cotton candy (while supplies last) for the kids, ALL FOR FREE!

Due to the weather forecast, the New Found Gold Concert Series featuring the Ennis Sisters for today - Friday, August 2nd - will be moved into the Steele Community Centre.

The beer tent will be open and Hare Bay Adventures will be onsite with sandwiches, snacks, drinks, freezies and baked goodies.

***********UPDATE - GANDER DAY CELEBRATIONS WILL BE AT THE STEELE COMMUNITY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*******************

Happy Gander Day everyone! We know the weather is not cooperating right now but we have been talking with the weather office and it looks like later today it's going to clear up.

We still want to celebrate Gander Day as it is our civic holiday, so we'll be moving inside the Steele Community Centre with a start time of 2pm and if the sun comes out, we will move down to Cobb's Pond Rotary Park. There will be yummy food vendors (Nachos, Hot Dogs, Tunderin' Cheeses Food truck, etc!) face painting, inflatable bouncy castles, a beer tent and of course, lots of wonderful music!! Not for profit organizations will be running games for a nominal fee as well.

Crock Closet will be here selling croc jibbitz too!

So, keep your fingers and toes crossed or if anyone has a direct line to Mother Nature, can you please give her a call and ask her nicely to send some sunshine our way! :) We really hope people will come out and join us as we celebrate our community today and support the musicians on stage.
