FREIL FALLS - an elegant waterfall drops hundreds of meters from Freil Lake down sheer cliffs into beautiful Hotham Sound, adjacent to Harmony Islands Marine Park.

All just a short boat trip from Egmont on the Sunshine Coast (thanks Hans Hart !), and less than 100 km NW of Vancouver BC.

All just a short boat trip from Egmont on the Sunshine Coast, about 100 km up the coast from Vancouver BC.

Two minutes of mountain joy captured from the top of Mt. Strachan while skiing at Cypress Bowl on 23 March 2021. Views of Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Howe Sound (with the Sunshine Coast in the distance), and Georgia Strait (with Vancouver Island in the background).

Made it to the Caribbean again this winter! A little more complicated with the pandemic, but doable if Canadian & Grenadian protocols are respected: plenty of paperwork and hoops to jump through, two Covid PCR tests, and a full tortorous week in captivity (quarantine) on the south shore of Grenada as shown in this video. Once released, took the ferry to the little sister island where there are currently ZERO covid cases... but LOTS of sunshine and beautiful beaches !

Sailing along Valdes Island, we paused to capture the impressive 80-foot (25 metre) high limestone cliffs on its west coast, and ended up with other scenes of that island and surrounding ones... along with a slightly challenging return to our drifting boat.

Took off from our picnic site on Popham Island in the mouth of Howe Sound to capture the stunning seascapes in the area (freeze frames on Pasley Island and Keats island, with Gibsons in background on far left). And then dropped down to capture scenes of a big pod of seals (trying not to alarm them too much) and a satisfied great blue heron (who didn't seem to mind my buzzing intruder) on a raft near where we had just swam.

The first day of our European Vacation, touring Italy from north to south with my sister Geri. This video showcases the area around Lago Maggoire, NW of Milano, with the mountains of Switzerland in the distance. Beautiful geography, beautiful weather, beautiful people.
