Today our youngest, Jubilee ?Elagi (flower) , graduated from daycare with her cousin🥲🙌❤️
She spent the last 3 years playing with her friends and family, singing drum songs, getting her hair brushed and braided by the staff, learning Chilcotin, colouring pictures, doing crafts, spending time with the elders and making cards for all occasions 🥰

She’s heading to Kindergarten at our tiny school this fall and she is SO ready to ride the bus with her brother, sister, all her cousins and friends 🙌

What a blessing it is that Tobias is the bus driver and I get to work in the school my children and family attend as well.

Today we had our first little gathering IN our house to celebrate our oldest turning 11 with family and friends.
It was bright and cozy inside 🥰 My heart is full ❤️
The kids ran around in the woods playing “Capture the Flag” to burn off the delicious cupcakes and carrot cake my mom baked 😁

Mini house update: Our windows and doors are in, and plumbing, electrical and gas are ALL roughed in! 🙌
While we’re celebrating the progress so far, I can’t hardly wait to get our insulation in, drywall up, floors installed and have a REAL bathroom and kitchen!

I don’t want to take for granted the gift of silence I am blessed with living out here
I forget the noise we grew accustomed to living in the city

Taking this moment to reflect and be thankful for this piece of land— it’s a part of me, and was always calling me home.

So glad I listened.
