With beef cows twins aren’t that common but around here it just seems to be our luck! These twins will be our 9th pair!
There’s many reasons why twins aren’t desired (born smaller, don’t grow as big, harder on the cow etc.) but we take what life throws at us and our cows have always been great mothers.

Feeding Time

As livestock farmers, one of the most common phrases in our home is “where there’s livestock, there’s deadstock”.
Put into other words, as farmers, we understand that life isn’t always rosy. We grasp that bad things can, and will, happen and we must find a way of getting on with it.
We lost a few cows and calves this spring but we have these cute orphan heifers! Two times a day we bottle feed them and I thought I’d share just how cute they are.
