We had a great visit yesterday with Minister Heath MacDonald, and sent him home with one of our “Canadian Farmer and proud of it” t-shirts.

What a great day with Durham College’s Culinary Management program

We had a busy day with 4 amazing stops starting at Murrayhill Farms learning about Ontario beef, then Whitefeather Farms to visit an Ontario egg farm. We continued our day seeing how Ontario’s second most difficult to grow crop (mushrooms) are farmed at Windmill Farms and ended by following the journey of grain from seed selection and planting to harvest and final product.

This day was made possible thanks to our wonderful farmer hosts and supportive partners. Thank you Durham College students for all your questions and interest, we wish you the best this semester!
