// TOP HORROR MOVIES OF 1981 . . . Here are 2 entries from our list: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME and THE BURNING

Both have slipped in obscurity over the years and have resurged over the last decade or so; and both feature young actors who have gone on to either pursue successful careers—most notably Jason Alexander, aka George Costanza—or disappear altogether.

NEW EPISODE TOMORROW: "STEAL THIS EPISODE! 90s and 00s Piracy"

https://redcircle.com/shows/nostaljunkpod

YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A CAR. YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A HANDBAG. YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A TELEVISION. YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A MOVIE... but we did download and burn HUNDREDS of movies and albums in the late 90s and 00s. We take an action-packed run through our burnt CD and DVD spindles, revisiting our memories and collections of P2P downloading—Napster, KaZaA, Lime Wire, audiogalaxy, Scour, and more. Music, movies, software, and of course... P**N. So much p**n. We also discuss early Slipknot (Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. and their self-titled debut), the origins of the 00s piracy crackdown and hate for Metallica/Lars (but he wasn't wrong), nu metal (again), discovering new musical tastes (death metal, Meshuggah, etc), burning mixes with Nero and wisely filling time on the discs, the high-cost of buying new albums (which may have justified the downloading, only to preview the album before you actually bought them), and why do we still remember the lyrics to Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba"? Spotify. Apple Music. STEAL THIS EPISODE!

🔥CLIP FROM NU METAL EPISODE🔥 A modified 2004 Ibanez RG7321 with a white pickguard and Dimarzio Blaze bridge pickup. Very reminiscent of Head and Munky's axes from their early Korn days. Also featured, my guitar tab books (pre-Ultimate Guitar and YouTube) for Life is Peachy and Follow the Leader, and the Got the Life CD single with remixes and an unreleased track "I Can Remember". -Matt

"Blind" had been written while Jonathan Davis was in Sexart before he left the band to join Korn. The song was composed entirely by Dennis Shinn.

Korn's contribution came once they re-recorded the song for their debut album LP 1994. Even though the song was completed by Sexart, Korn added an extended song intro, utilizing drum cymbals, and an added small Bass-Line. Their addition acted as an intro that led into the original intro composed by Sexart. Also, Korn applied a small musical change away from Sexart's version, which landed under the vocal chorus "I'm so blind" lyric. That change didn't occur until the Korn LP was recorded. SexArt's original music piece was present on Korn's demo Neidermayer's Mind 1993. Korn also tailored the song ending, being the bass coda at the end of the song quotes Cypress Hill's song "Lick a Shot". The ending, technically, had nothing to do with the actual song itself. Jonathan Davis and his music group Korn utilized this song on the album without crediting the original songwriters Dennis Shinn, and or Ryan Shuck. However, both Dennis Shinn and Ryan Shuck were later credited on the Greatest Hits Vol.1 compilation album when the song was used on that LP., as well as being creditied on multiple products that contain the song.

🎧TURN SOUND ON🎧 Wes uses this guitar for most notably Nookie and a couple other songs in the Limp Bizkit discography such as Sour and Stalemate, although it is 4 strings many fans classify this instrument as a modified guitar because of its scale length, many say it was custom made for him others say he took an Ibanez model guitar and put a thin neck on it and filled the middle tuner holes. It is tuned to F #, F # (higher octave), B, E

💥🤘ARE YOU READY🤘💥 That simple question was the catalyst that started a movement—whether or not you approve—that although was insanely popular, only lasted in the mainstream for a few short years. Metal has always had waves of trends—despite Pantera's best efforts to shut trend-metal down with TGSTK—but was nu metal really all that bad? I think it's safe to say that the term "nu metal" was the first of its downfall; then bands as products; then the scene who ages themselves out by overstaying their welcome; and so on.

Kyle and I revisit our angsty groovy past, with fondness—sometimes with eye-rolls—and even explain simple metal music theory, only to praise the vastly misunderstood early days of NU METAL 🤘

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝟸 𝘌𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘦 𝟷𝟷⁣

George: Excuse me, I was waiting here.⁣

Woman at phone: Where? I didn't see you.⁣

George: I've been standing here for the last ten minutes!⁣

Woman: Well I won't be long.⁣

George: That's not the point. The point is I was here first.⁣

Woman: Well if you were here first, you'd be holding the phone.⁣

George (yelling at her): You know, we're living in a society! We're supposed to act in a civilized way.⁣

(he goes over to Jerry and Elaine)⁣

George: Does she care? No. Does anyone ever display the slightest sensitivity over the problems of a fellow individual? No. No. A resounding no!⁣

(guy on phone approaches George)⁣

Guy: Hey, sorry I took so long.⁣

George: Oh that's OK, really, don't worry about it.
