Being a stay at home mom is HARD.
It’s not just relaxing at home.

It’s maintaining a household that’s full of chaos, while raising small children.

With 0 sick days and 0 days off.

Your day starts the moment they open their eyes, and it doesn’t end until after they’re in bed.

It’s pure chaos.
Making three meals a day.
With several snacks in between.
It’s wiping butts, tears, sticky fingers and counters.
Little hands reaching for you 24/7.
It’s teaching, cleaning, comforting, caring and supporting.

It’s having no break even when you’re in desperate need of one.

Being overwhelmed and touched out but still needed.

It’s having to wake up and do it all again tomorrow.

Being a stay at home mom isn’t easy.
If it was everyone would do it.
But still its struggles are minimized and brushed off.
“I wish I could stay home all day.”

Sure it’s great to stay home with my children, but don’t you dare for a second pretend it’s easy.

Being a stay at home mom is a full time job.

Our marriage changed after having kid...

What marriage doesn’t?

My husband and I spent the first couple years glued to the hip. We were teenagers with no care in the world.
Every second we spent with one another, spontaneous trips, dates, our life was all our own.

Now it’s not.

Now is our season of parenting. It’s a new chapter that we are going through together.

Soon our kid will grow older, more independent and we will get “our” time back.

But right now our time is here, with them.
And to always remember that after we get off this ride, to greet each other once again. Because after this, we will be completely different people, and what a joy it will be to reintroduce one another in a whole other new chapter in our lives.
