Kelly: The Nova Scotia Liberals want to ban social media for children under 16. The ban would cover any social media platform where at least two people can communicate or share content.

Most popular social media apps, (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat) have a minimum age of 13 for account creation, with specific restrictions settings for younger users.

Personally, I'm having a hard time understanding how this would be possible unless the apps put stronger age controls in place.
