From a girl with a never ending list of hobbies and hyperfixations 🫶🏼✨
Lately I’ve realized that the biggest reason I doomscroll isn’t JUST because I’m bored, it’s actually because I need something to do with my hands and because I have massive decision paralysis when it comes to actually PICKING what I want to do.
I think the key to finding hobbies that work (especially in the evening after I get home from the office) is they need to be easily accessible and not require a lot of set up. I don’t want to spend 20 minutes lugging everything out just to be over it in 5 minutes and have to put it back.
Whether you junk journal, scrapbook, memory keep or just write down all your thoughts and feelings, this is one that I usually reserve for when I have a little extra time. I love being able to pull out allllll my supplies and make a mess, it feels so freeing.

My newest hobby (as in, I taught myself this week so be nice lol) but I can already see this becoming a staple in my post-work routine. Minimal supplies, easy to pick up and put down if I get lazy or need a break. I can already see a lookout of handmade gifts coming up for Christmas lol.
So far I’ve learned single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, so I’m basically ready to take on the world lol. Let me know if you want links to the tutorials I followed!
I fcking love my steam deck. It took me a while to get used to it because it’s a bit heavier and bulkier than the switch, but I love having access to the steam library.
Some of my fave games rn are:
Moonlight Peaks (SO good - think vampire animal crossing)
Palworld
Stardew Valley (forever my fave)
Subnautica (need to get back into this one)
And I love Minecraft - it’s almost time to get back to this
An obvious choice, reading in the fall + winter is the ideal cozy activity. Add in an audiobook and another hobby and that seems like the perfect evening to me.
I particularly love leaning into thrillers for spooky season, should I make a list of my TBR?
