"Pouty" the Ocean Pout has been with us for several weeks now but is in need of a proper name.
The male pouts are darker in colour than the females. They also have a larger flatter head with fuller or more fleshy lips than that of the female.
Winner will be drawn at random and will receive family day pass!

Big news! This upcoming campaign on Labfundr will bring black scientists and Afrofuturist artists together to re-imagine the future.

The results of this exciting collaboration between the Black Speculative Arts Movement Canada and Sci Comm Toronto will be displayed and/or performed at the BSAM Convention in Toronto this August.

New post alert! Guest blogger Alan Shapiro talks about ways to overcome the ā€œcurse of knowledgeā€ and connect with your audience via science communication.

To quote Alan, who in turn quotes author Andy Grove - "How well we communicate is determined not by how well we say things but how well we are understood."

Assuming that your grandparents aren’t Nobel laureates, it’s time to have a talk with them about science. Any science is fine, but your own area of expertise is preferred. Make sure to schedule ahead – this isn’t one of those conversations you can start nonchalantly over dinner.
