One of the best parts of being an Accomplice is getting a front-row seat to great work finding its way into the world.

Huge congratulations to our friends at Wunder, who recently took home two Silver and one Bronze at the Marketing Awards for their work with Friends of Canadian Media on the FU** THE CBC campaign.

Bold work gets noticed. Smart work sticks around. This one managed to do both.

✨Accomplice Accolades ✨

At Accomplice, we're privileged to work with the best of the best, and this week we're celebrating our very own on winning Best Editing in a Docu-Series/Docu-Drama at the CCE Awards for Apex: The Black Masters, and Outstanding Achievement in Editing at the Screen Nova Scotia Awards.
Amy brings exceptional storytelling instincts, precision, and creative firepower to everything she cuts. She also happens to be living proof that you must turn your hobby into your jobby.

Editors don't often get the spotlight, but this time, one of the best in the business did.

We love you, Amy! ❤

This project we’ve been working on for our client, Historica Canada , might be the most Canadian thing imaginable. 🇨🇦

Growing up, Heritage Minutes were part of the fabric of this country. We all watched them. We all quoted them. And as it turns out, some very recognizable Canadians did too.

Over the next few months they’ll be rolling out the results of travelling across the country and sitting down with some familiar faces to talk about their favourite Heritage Minutes, why they stuck with them, and the memories they still carry years later.

It’s a celebration of storytelling, nostalgia, and the strange little moments that somehow helped shape a national identity.

First up: Rick Mercer!

Let’s call this how-we-MADE-it Monday - Pulling back the curtain on some Accomplice and Andrew Pierce 3D wizardry.

Sometimes the right project comes along where the technical challenges (and opportunities) make 3D the better choice over traditional production. The timeline, flexibility for later revisions, particular camera placements, and precise frame control all pointed us toward an animated approach for this collaboration with our agency friends at Arrivals + Departures Advertising and their client, Eastward Energy

Enjoy this VFX breakdown from two director’s cuts. Wireframes, clay renders, lighting passes, compositing passes, and plenty more all come together to make something virtual feel plausibly real.

Gender-based violence isn’t always physical, but it is always abuse.
Our recent collaboration with Arrivals & Departures Arrivals + Departures Advertising for the Province of Nova Scotia uses a field of red flags to highlight its many forms and invites viewers to recognize the signs.

A notable key to bringing this modest but ambitious project to life was the patient vision of Art Director, Dom Fegan (and the help of many talented hands).
