Short, steep, and so worth it!

Egypt Falls might be a quick hike, but don’t let the distance fool you — the descent is no joke. Ropes help on the way down, but come prepared for the climb back up. What makes it all worth it? The reward at the bottom: a roaring 60-foot waterfall crashing into a rocky basin deep in the Cape Breton hills.

📍 Egypt Falls, Scotsville, Nova Scotia
🚗 Trailhead and parking off Pipers Glen Road
🌲 Hike: ~2 km out-and-back to the falls, with an optional loop
🥾 Terrain: Steep sections with ropes — sturdy footwear recommended
💦 Essentials: Water, bug spray, and a sense of adventure
