As fun as it was for the 1 week the pool worked this summer, we knew that eventually we’d get the heating system finished so we could finally use it year round…yes, even in the winter 🥶. This technology is so unreal, can’t wait to hear what you thought of all that steam!!! We were shocked too🔥

It’s no secret that Todd is slightly Christmas obsessed 🧑🏼‍🎄. When he said he wanted to make ornaments this year, the idea snowballed into a full on collection and it’s SO GOOD!!! These photos are just a snippet of the ideas he came up with. They make the perfect gift but even if you don’t pick up anything, check out the site because I’m just so proud of him. From blankets to mugs, it’s so festive. Literally the most creative man I’ve ever met 🎄

YOU GUYS!!! This is nuts! We started posting photos a few days ago and because of YOU they’re going seriously viral. In the last 24 hours over 1 MILLION people have viewed the photo we shared yesterday. Every time you comment, share and engage with these posts it gets shared a little more widely…and you know it’s getting serious when the bible verses start getting quoted (seriously, do yourself a favor and dig into the comments they’re pretty hilarious and I looooove that we’re making them mad)🤣. We aren’t exaggerating when we said we cried for a solid 10 minutes when we read this yesterday😭. We shared a post about how important representation is in media (and how badly we needed it when we were younger) but actually reading a real life story hit a little different so we thought we’d share it with you.

A lady named Elaine wrote this: “My nephew started following you during the lockdown at age 11 - he struggled with being locked in all the time and your videos really helped him get through it. He very honestly said that when he first started watching it was weird seeing two men kiss and show affection to each other but by the time lockdown ended it was normal. You did that!”.

It may seem small and insignificant but knowing that leaving little moments like this in our videos, the ones when we forget the camera is rolling and we’re just being present and silly with one another actually helped someone come to terms with their own story is EVERYTHING. Ugh sorry, here we go again 😭.

P.S if you do home renovations with your partner, kiss breaks are required to prevent fights from happening (trust us) 🤣

Someone commented on yesterday’s post that “we’d be much more successful if we weren’t constantly posting affectionate photos that nobody wants to see”. Here’s the thing: representation MATTERS. I can’t tell you how badly 15 year old me needed to know that it gets better. On a daily basis, I heard the F-slur in high school, I was scared for my safety, and I never thought that I’d have the “happiness” portrayed in movies…but I held on. A few months later, I met the boy of my dreams. I was 17 years old and am now 35. We’ve built an entire beautiful life together and are genuinely happy so if sharing photos like this means less dollars in our bank account, so be it. Hang on, it gets better… I promise ❤️

This is blowing my mind! 4 years ago TODAY we built the Geodesic Dome 🤯. While it is essentially a plastic tent, we didn’t realize at the time how life changing this decision would be. Having an affordable place to live allowed us to pour our hearts and souls into building the container home. That one decision to build the dome meant we didn’t have to settle or compromise a single detail. Everything really does happen for a reason…plus, it’s going to make a pretty dreamy guest house, isnt it? 😍
