Today, the Hamilton East—Stoney Creek (“HESC”) Provincial Liberal Association (“PLA”) hosted Ontario Leadership hopeful MPP Lee Fairclough at the Fool & Flagon, inviting current and future Ontario Liberal members to get to know Lee and learn more about her vision for our party and province. It was a great Sunday afternoon with many good conversations. Thank you to Lee for stopping by the Hammer and to the volunteers who organized and executed the event.

The dissatisfaction with Doug Ford’s record is growing, resulting in protests across 60+ communities in Ontario today. I stopped by the Hamilton protest. There are different drivers of the frustration with Doug Ford, but what I heard today is a pretty unanimous drive for the Ontario government to do better on healthcare, education and government transparency. I agree. Folks, get involved and be the change 😎✌🏻

What an uplifting night at the Winona Vine Estates, where we celebrated the 2026 Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Excellence Awards Dinner.

We celebrated some incredible local businesses, community organizations and outstanding individuals. Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks for the positive you bring our community. Also, thanks to the Chamber for a great night.

Queen’s Park was buzzing today as the Beef Farmers of Ontario () hosted their annual Ontario Beef Barbecue.

One source in the massive lineup told me, “this beats free donut day.”

Unfortunately, I had eaten in advance and was just passing by. Mistake noted for next year.
