My name is Peter, and I am a concerned citizen/ratepayer/employer in the City of Hamilton. In this term alone, taxes are up nearly 23%, while digging into reserves - totally unsustainable, and their mismanagement falls squarely on the shoulders of all residents and businesses.

I have launched ThriveHamilton.ca and thrive.hamilton on Instagram to discuss transparency and fiscal accountability at the City of Hamilton. We are spiralling!

The result is higher taxes for all citizens, and damage to local businesses and entrepreneurs - all trying to survive in these difficult times.

This is a kickoff video that explains my background, why we are upset, and what Thrive Hamilton hopes to accomplish.

While it is designed for Hamilton ratepayers, it may be relevant to other municipalities, as many cities face similar issues.

If you understand and share the concerns, please tell your friends and neighbours and ask them to follow as we will be focusing on "data" driven feedback and articles, rather than "rhetoric".

We will also be challenging Councillors and Mayors to explain and document their platforms for turning the City around.
