What an incredible weekend at the Homegrown Stage during Dundas Cactus Festival!
Guests to the festival who walked by the stage saw truly amazing performances from homegrown noise makers! The Homegrown Stage welcomed everyone to the festival with original music, new names, plus great songs (new & old & soon to be favourites).
Mike Maguire opened the Homegrown Stage on Friday with his 7-string guitar and some jazzy renditions of classic songs from days gone by.
Terry Rhodes (aka Lionel Ritchie) had the crowd "Dancing On The Ceiling" with Commodores classics and Ritchie's pop hits.
Saturday came the heat from blues grinders, Rod McTaggart and The Jerry Rig Blues Band. Great harp blowin' and fret work to start the day.
Paul Cafcae and company made an indelible impression with Festival goers. HIs style of rock and tongue-in-cheek lyrics were the day's ear-worm.
ORBit - band had the crowd at a stand still taking them on a musical journey they couldn't get enough of..
With keyboard in hand, Martin Wall truly inspired the listeners with his cover songs, animated style of playing and witty dialogue.
The final soloist of the day, Nicole Christian made the crowd appreciate the finer things. Her style of music hit the right note with so many.
Sunday brunch was met with Tribe 369 and their unique style of positive vibrations to great applause.
The final performance of the festival from Arthur : Acoustic Duo reminded guests of the high level of talent that graces the Homegrown Stage. Their harmonies and stories in songs took you away from the Festival and into their world.
