After Canada and the U.S. failed to reach a trade agreement, PM Carney said Canada would retaliate against new U.S. tariffs. Now, federal ministers are set to announce additional measures aimed at protecting Canadian workers and businesses.
The stakes are especially high for industries such as autos, steel and manufacturing, with President Trump also threatening a 50% tariff on Canadian-made vehicles starting in 2027. 🚗🏭
