After trade negotiations collapsed, the U.S. imposed new 50% tariffs on roughly $20 billion worth of Canadian goods. Canada has announced a dollar-for-dollar tariff response on selected U.S. products beginning September 8. Canada has not announced a blanket ban on all U.S. imports.
