Mermaid Dreams is a diversion from my typical horror and trash cinema interests. It tells a simple story about a young woman who dreams of a life under the sea as a mermaid. At its core, it is a reflection on the burdens and pressures of modern living, and how we tend to yearn for something simpler and more pure. Check out the Canadian premiere of Mermaid Dreams at the Hamilton Film Festival, part of the Local Shorts showcase on Oct. 17th at 8 PM. Tickets are available at the link in our bio.

Mermaid Dreams was shot entirely on a roll of Kodak colour negative 7203 50d super 8 film stock. The stock was supplied by Niagara Custom Lab, who also processed and scanned it after we wrapped shooting. Check out the Canadian premiere of Mermaid Dreams at the Hamilton Film Festival, part of the Local Shorts showcase on Oct. 17th at 8 PM. Tickets are available at the link in our bio.

Even more great news! Mermaid Dreams is an official selection of this year's Hamilton Film Festival and I couldn't be more thrilled! I always look forward to the prospect of screening a project at my hometown film festival the most. Mermaid Dreams will be included in the Local Shorts block at 8 PM on October 17th, following the Opening Gala at 6 PM.

More great news! 2025: Steel City Warriors AND Mermaid Dreams are official selections of Nasty Frames Indie Film Fest alumnus Janice.click's Clickfest! This will likely be the final festival screening for SCW, and I couldn't be more honoured. If you're an enthusiast of fine indie trash cinema and happen to be in Fulton, MO on October 11th, make sure to hit up this event.

It's been a week of exciting news! For starters, 2025: Steel City Warriors is an official selection of The Farsighted: Home of the Skate or Die Film Festival! It will be screening as part of the WTF Block on Saturday, October 4th. If you'll be in the Pottstown, PA area, swing by Ringing Rocks Roller Rink.
