Dowtown Sound is owned and operated by Mario ("Rockin' Rio") Pietrangeli, a graduate of Recording Arts Canada who has been recording bands and music since 1996. Sound incorporates tracking and control rooms in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Our objective is to assist artists in achieving their musical visions in recordings for CD, vinyl or other media. Downtown Sound offers a range of professional analog and digital equipment, starting with the RME HDSPe Madi soundcard, SSL Alpha Madi AX interface; 24 channel '80s vintage UK Sountracs mixing console; and pre-amps, compressors and other gear from AMS Neve, BAE, Universal Audio, Daking, UREI, Dizengoff, and more. Microphones include studio classics from Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Oktava, Shure, 3-Zigma/ADK and others. Artists recording at Downtown Sound also gain access to the "Studio Collection" of vintage amplifiers, high quality guitars, effects and other equipment. No need to go far-- just go Downtown!
