Did I mention that at last weekend’s Umuahia cultural event, our kids did another performance? They acted out a traditional marriage process , from asking girls out and exchanging numbers, to dating, paying the dowry, and finally getting married. I watched the girls kneel to receive wine from their fathers to find their husbands. It brought back so many memories.😀😀😀😀. .

Last Saturday was such a beautiful outing ,Umuahia Cultural Day! I’m definitely joining my people and getting registered by next year. It was so colorful and full of life.

What really touched me the most was seeing young kids , born and raised here in Canada, some of whom have never even been to Nigeria ,perform with the masquerade masks. They danced so beautifully in those traditional costumes.

It made me so happy to witness such a vibrant display of our culture, even in the diaspora.

You can do this in that little balcony of yours, ,the small space in your yard ,yes that little corner with a pot. Stop procastinating !!😀😀😀

I made a delicious pizza for the kids using tortilla wraps. On my way home, Madam Gee called and asked me to buy her pizza. I forgot to stop and get it, so when I got home, I decided to make one with what I had in the fridge. Instead of making dough from scratch, I used wheat wraps and what’s that other one again? I’ve forgotten jareh. 😄

I had pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, sweet peppers, and tomato sauce. From start to finish, this is what I came up with.. Rate it from 0 to 10!

In a family, brothers and sisters grow up with the same parents, in the same house, they can still be very different from each other. It's just like planting the same type of seed,like green amaranth ,,in the same soil. Even though they get the same care, one plant may grow well while the other doesn’t.

This shows that even with the same background, people can turn out differently.

So when you're thinking about marriage, don’t say, “I know his sister” or “Her brother is like this,” and use that to judge the person. Just because someone’s family is good or bad doesn’t mean they will be the same.

Marry someone because you know them and believe you can live happily with them,not because of their family.

I have a younger sister ehn, we’re super close o. We talk every single day, sometimes 2 to 3 hours on the phone. But one day, I warned her seriously: “Stop telling me when you’re eating, about to eat, or have just eaten!”

Did she listen? Of course not. No respect for me😀

She knows I love corn and pear. Sometimes she’ll be chewing it right into my ear during our calls. Other times it’s nkwobi, ukazi soup with achara and akpuruakpu egusi (aka ofe akwukwo or ugboghoro). She knows how to tempt me!

I just woke up and saw a message from her: a picture of her dinner last night—abacha, odudu, local beans, stock fish, and onions! Another one of my faves!

Now tell me, my people, what should I do to this girl? 😩😂 im so reporting her to her Husband ,my Mom ,brothers and to you peeps

There is this content creator who recently asked all her followers to share a time when God gave them a little sign to show He’s listening to their prayers . This moment came to mind, and I felt led to share it here on my page instead.

On a normal day, I usually wake up in the middle of the night to pray. It’s my quiet time with God. Despite being extremely tired and sleepy on this particular night, I still got up because I was believing God for something specific. I went to my prayer closet, which is where I usually pray, read my Bible, or go through inspirational books during that hour.

That night, I didn’t want to spend more than one hour because I often find myself going beyond that. So I decided to challenge God in faith. I said, “Lord, if You truly hear me, I want You to alert me at a specific time.”

Friends ,when it got to that exact time,hey! My phone rang.

I was surprised. Who could be calling me at that hour? It was a WhatsApp call from a coursemate back in university,someone I hadn’t spoken to in over three years and didn’t have any close relationship with. I didn’t answer the call; honestly, I was scared. I trembled. It felt so supernatural. So I just went back to sleep.

Later that day afternoon, I decided to call her back to confirm what happened. The lady was just as surprised. She said she hadn’t called me, and in fact, she hadn’t even had internet access for WhatsApp calls for weeks.

That was the moment I knew without a doubt, God heard me. He was truly there.

I took my daughter for her eye appointment yesterday. As usual, there was no network in the underground parking. While looking for a spot, I saw several spaces blocked with pile lawns. I found one open space with another space inside it. As I signaled to park, two security personel approached and said I must park inside and drop my car key so someone else could park behind me.

I asked , What if I want to leave first? I told them they don’t need my key,only the person blocking me should drop theirs. They insisted I leave mine. I wasn’t comfortable with that, so I left to find another space.

After driving around a lot, I found a tight corner spot, but the cars beside it were badly parked. I didn’t want to risk my car getting hit again, so I went back to the original spot,but someone else had taken it.

I asked the security guys to remove the pile lawns from other blocked spaces so I could park. They ignored me. I kept searching and finally found a spot.

Did I do wrong by refusing to drop my keys? and or What should I have done differently?
