Why is Hamilton’s Police Budget Skyrocketing? 🔥
Andrew Selman gives the honest breakdown:
Body cameras, cloud storage, video redaction, rising ammunition costs, new body armor, and automatic rifles in every police vehicle… these are driving massive increases — many of which are outside the City’s control.
He also says the Hamilton Police could do a much better job explaining these costs to taxpayers.
Smart budgeting means understanding the real reasons — not just the headline number.
What do you think?
Are these increases justified? Should the City push harder for savings?

When the staircase was on fire, he ran straight toward it.
Andrew Selman didn’t hesitate.
He kicked down a burning door and helped rescue a trapped family from an apartment fire in Hamilton.
What moved him most? Seeing neighbors from all backgrounds come together — no politics, no division — just people working as one to save lives.
This is what real community looks like. ❤️
Would you run toward the danger to help your neighbors?

Hamilton’s Housing Crisis: Why It’s Taking 33 Months to Build Homes

Most politicians just talk about the housing crisis.

Andrew Selman is calling out the real problem holding Hamilton back.

Hamilton has one of the slowest development approval processes in Canada — 33+ months just to get permits approved.

That’s not just slow… it’s killing new housing supply.

Meanwhile, cities like Halifax are doing it in only 9 months.
One clear example: The Philpott Church site across from TD Coliseum sat in bureaucracy for years. Instead of new homes, it’s now becoming a parking lot.

Andrew Selman says we need to stop the red tape and streamline the permitting process so good builders can actually build.

Real solutions over more taxes.

What do you think?

Should Hamilton dramatically speed up approvals to fix the housing shortage?

If Hamilton had $100M to spend…

would you fix what people SEE —
or what actually matters?

Roads. Sidewalks. Safety.
Lowering future tax pressure.
Cleaning up the parts of the city people deal with every day.

No big announcements. Just real improvements.

So here’s the question:

👉 Where would YOU spend $100M?

Most People Play It Safe… He Risked Everything For His City 🔥

“The risk of NOT running was greater than the risk of running.”

While most people stay quiet and avoid risk…

Andrew Selman stepped up.

He’s facing attacks, graffiti, and criticism — but he’s doing it for his daughter, for seniors struggling with tax hikes, for long-time neighbors, and for a better future in Hamilton.

This is what real courage looks like.

Would YOU risk it all to make your city better?

We dive deep into:
- The moment he decided to stop just commenting on City Hall and actually run for office
- His data-driven take on Hamilton’s housing crisis, skyrocketing property taxes, urban blight, encampments, public safety, and drug policy
- Why transparency and broken processes at City Hall are costing taxpayers millions
- What kind of city he wants his daughter to inherit in 20 years
- The emotional story behind the apartment fire rescue that still stays with him
