Trying to remind myself of this lately.

I spend way too much time thinking about how something will perform… instead of whether I actually like it.

Rick Rubin said “the audience comes last.”
Not because the audience doesn’t matter, but because if they become the reason you create, the work slowly starts losing its honesty.

The only thing I really control is whether I like the work.

Everything else is outcome.

Still figuring that out. Still unlearning a lot of bad habits.

Just trying to create more of what I want… and worry a little less about the rest.
