In just 2 months, this summer pasture has gone from dull and brown to vibrant green! 🌱

The cows are already enjoying this summer pasture while helping us manage invasive species that had taken over this area of the farm. As more sunlight reaches the ground, native plants hidden in the seed bank are beginning to emerge once again.

It’s not a perfect pasture—and that’s okay. Building healthy ecosystems takes time. Every season brings us one step closer to creating a diverse native grassland and woodlot grazing area for our livestock 💚🐄

From tiny seeds to little seedlings 🌱🥒

This week, the Farm School children helped plant their cucumber seedlings into the garden! Now comes the ongoing care — watering, checking on their growth, and patiently waiting for harvest season! ☀️🌿

One of our favourite parts of gardening with children is helping build a connection to the food on their plates… from seed, to garden, to shared meals 💚

This is exactly why we opened the Farm Shop 💛

We wanted more than just a place to pick up eggs and meat 🥚🥓 We wanted a space where people could ask questions, meet the faces behind their food, and feel connected to their local community 🌾

There is such a disconnect between people and the food they feed their families, and we want our customers to know the farmers, growers, and local makers behind the products they’re bringing home 🚜🍯

The Farm Shop has become a space full of local food, small businesses, conversation, and community 🫶

And honestly… we think it has quite a bit of personality now 😅
