Huge snowmobile triggered avalanche today in the Montana backcountry‼️🚨 The snowmobiler was lucky to be rescued alive after being buried for 12 to 15 minutes and thankfully he gets a 2nd chance at life🙏 The avalanche danger rating for December 11 was rated considerable and the avalanche broke on the persistent weak layer of snow located near the ground. This is a reminder to be prepared for avalanche rescues using your avalanche safety gear and understand how to travel in avalanche terrain so that you can avoid avalanches⛑️ More snow is coming soon and it is important not to push it just because there will be powder to play in👍🏼 All that powder is going to be resting on top of a stout rain crust‼️Please reach out to us if you have any questions about getting avalanche eduction📸-
