🚨Phil Johnson has long been one of the most trusted voices in the Okanagan.
After almost 20 years on morning radio, reports suggested Phil was stepping away from broadcasting, so we’re happy to share that he’s not done yet. Far from it.
Phil Johnson is joining Pattison Media’s .9, where he’ll continue doing what he does best: sparking conversation, telling local stories, and diving into the issues that matter most to our community.
Phil was retired earlier this month, and Pattison Media Okanagan General Manager Karl Johnston says listeners are already missing his unique approach to local issues and story telling. “Phil was off the air two weeks too long, so we decided to create a new platform for him to keep the stories coming!”
“Phil’s trademark is his mix of insight and curiosity that Okanagan audiences have loved,” adds Corey Fischer, Program Director. “It’s perfect for his new role with us.”
Listeners will hear Phil dropping by “OV Mornings with Leslie” to give a community shoutout or put the spotlight a local issue.
