Ilya & Anna

This past Saturday, I had the chance to capture the love story of beautiful Ilya and Anna. We started in their kitchen, where they were making Баурсаки—a traditional Kazakh dish. While the dough was rising, we stepped onto the balcony, where I caught some beautiful moments of them together, with Kelowna’s skyline in the background.

Back inside, they continued prepping—playfully dusting each other with flour, laughing, and just enjoying the process. Once everything was ready, they dressed up, and we headed downtown. We walked along Bernard Street, took some shots near Karat, and ended at Blenz Coffee, where I captured intimate, stylish, and effortless moments. The whole session felt warm, candid, and full of life.

Celebrating Growth and Memories

Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of capturing my nephew Nazar in a special photo session. From the moment he came into this world, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow from a playful little boy that I used to babysit into the strong, handsome man he is today.

It's incredible how time flies! I am really proud of him and I’m so grateful to have these moments frozen in time.

How did these shots come about? It was a Friday evening in Kelowna, right after work. Masha was waiting for me in the car in the parking lot, but a huge truck blocked our way out. Instead of just sitting there, we decided to take a walk down our street and snap a few shots. The idea came to us spontaneously, but I immediately felt that this moment would be special. Masha, as always, looked stunning, and the rays of the autumn evening sun, just before sunset, perfectly highlighted her inner and outer beauty. Despite the fatigue after a long day at work, I felt energized by this unexpected, yet magical, turn of events. Inspiration swept over me, just like in the good old days. What started as a simple walk turned into a creative process, and I truly consider these shots masterpieces. Enjoy the viewing!

Как появились эти кадры? Это был вечер пятницы в Келоуне, сразу после работы. Машуля ждала меня в машине на парковке, но огромная фура перегородила нам выезд. Вместо того чтобы сидеть в машине, мы решили прогуляться по нашей улице и сделать несколько снимков. Идея возникла спонтанно, но я сразу почувствовал, что этот момент будет особенным. Машуля, как всегда, выглядела потрясающе, а лучи осеннего вечернего солнца, накануне заката, идеально подчеркивали её внутреннюю и внешнюю красоту. Несмотря на усталость после рабочего дня, я словно ожил благодаря этому неожиданному, но волшебному стечению обстоятельств. Вдохновение охватило меня, как в прежние, добрые времена. Так простая прогулка превратилась в творческий процесс, и я считаю эти кадры настоящими шедеврами. Приятного просмотра!

Young Adults Retreat at Eagle Bay Camp

This past weekend, my wife and I had the privilege of joining our church for the Young Adults Retreat at Eagle Bay Camp. It was an incredible experience—definitely a much-needed reset from the everyday grind.

I was asked to volunteer on drums, which was such an honor and a blessing. Being surrounded by an amazing community, sharing deep moments of worship, and spending time with the team was truly impactful for both of us.

We left feeling refreshed and recharged, reminded of the power of community and faith. Jubileerable time!
