Official welcome to this munchkin! I think the name is sticking, and no better suggestions were offered, what do you all think of a white unicorn of a pony named Munchkin??

moment: when we lose those we love who play a significant role in our lives, sometimes it seems disrespectful or ungrateful to move on. It is a fine balance between giving ourselves time to grieve and honor the one(s) we have lost, and pursuing healthy new opportunities that would meet our needs. Both are important, and it doesn't have to be just one option or the other. So as we still mourn the loss of two of our dearest children's mounts, we had opportunity to adopt another promising children's mount that will give my own children great learning opportunities as well as fill a gaping hole in my Heart Echo Equines lesson/EAL program who is already aiding our healing process.
Here is a glimpse from tonight of our newest member of the herd, name still being finalized.

πŸ’₯Business update!! Getting it all out there at once with this post, if anyone wants to catch up
πŸ‘‹Say hi in the comments I will drop by and return the favor when I can

Business is busy enough for me so I have been focusing on clients this spring and my herd this summer instead of SM. Lots of herd changes and needs, and will have one more big shift this fall before herd changes settle down.

Summary of changes for anyone who was following the horses here:

Sold Patchy Patch last October (in case you missed it, he sounds like he is doing so well with his new family πŸ₯°)

Sold Zahur in May (he has already been ridden in the mountains, and will be conditioning to do endurance rides next year!🀩)

Added:
Annie Banannie in May (rescue)
Marley in June (restart)
Cheyenne and Star came in July (designated home)
New Summer (lil'Summer? Summer v2?) in August (designated home)

Work we've done:
-Got everyone's feet, teeth, vaccinations deworming, vet, and bodywork caught up! Most of this is routine at our place, but most of the new ones needed everything so it was a bit of effort and $$ to get everyone to there. Marley and Cheyenne also need muscle building as I was hoping they would be riding horses, so also putting in time doing exercises with them.
And Stormy (born here 2023) has been getting going with more groundwork this year! He is a champ and I feel like I could hop on him already this year, but due to his joint issues will wait until he is at least 3 to even sit on him, and no full riding until at least 4yrs old.

Upcoming changes this fall:
-Unfortunately Annie Banannie (rescue), Midnight and Luisa had an awful winter last year, and I promised them they will not have to endure another. Midnight and Luisa I tried many things last winter to no avail with their winter laminitis, and Annie Banannie has just been in too much pain 😭
-Marley is being re-sold to help fund our extra expenses this year, hopefully to a ranching home, now that she is in better shape can go back to doing what she excels at.
-Hoping to add one more addition once Marley sells to replace our amazing kids riding ponies/horses we are saying goodbye to this fall.

It's world mental health day!

What are you doing today to improve your mental health?

No matter your view on mental health or where you are at, we all need reminders and even accountability to take care of ourselves.

SM update: I have made a decision to really cut back on Social Media. I went hard core last year, got tak3n 0ver when started getting successful (ish), started my page fresh but with a little less oomph, and definitely have not been posting regularly this year. I was still doing my best to give support back to pages who were supporting me, and I hope to still check in now and then with those who have the spark of authentic connection... But it will be even less than it has been. I will no longer be f0llo wing in return unless that spark of connection forms.

In my role with Mental Health I feel that many potential clients are indeed here on social media!! But I am not out to seek you out - you will find me if it's meant to be.

My own focus needs to be more permanently redirected away from trying to figure out meta and creating content, though I will still try to post updates now and then on how things are going.

Thank you so much to all who have been following along this journey with me and the Heart Echo Equines herd, and I pray that the spark of connection continues to glimmer and glow wherever it brings hope and joy.
