This past weekend was full of many emotions. To the families who recently experienced such painful losses, please accept our deepest condolences. In times of sadness, we were uplifted and honoured to be at the lx̱a̱ntsila (coming of age ceremony) to celebrate Nevaeh C**n. Our hearts give thanks to Deano C**n, Alana C**n, and Dorienne Prevost for such a special event. It was great to see folks from Salmon Coast attend the ceremony.

The Kingcome Collective also hosted our second community meeting in G̱wa'yasda̱m's to talk about our upcoming project, "Awaḵ̕wa̱s: Gathering Place". It was a wonderful afternoon while salmon smoked around the fire in preparation for the lx̱a̱ntsila. Gilakas'la to everyone who came out for lunch and to listen to us.
