If you ride Kingston Transit, the City wants to hear how easy (or not) it is to get around.

Kingston Transit's yearly accessibility check-in is open, and there are two ways in. Fill out a short survey on Get Involved Kingston by Monday, October 12, or find transit staff at the INVISTA Centre transit stop on Monday, September 21 and tell them what you've noticed.

The City especially wants to hear from people with disabilities, regular riders, and anyone with an idea for making the buses easier for everyone to use.

Kingston throws a party for all the cultures that call it home on Sunday, September 20, and it's free, rain or shine.

The City's Intercultural Arts Festival fills Confederation Park with taiko drumming, Irish dance and more, plus cultural pavilions, artisan vendors and food from around the world, including our spotlight friends at Adelitaz Mexican Food. Newcomers can meet local services at the Welcome to Kingston Fair.

Over in Memorial Hall at City Hall, 55 residents become Canadian citizens. Heads-up: the LaSalle Causeway is fully closed that day, and Ontario Street is closed from Clarence to Brock.

Lace up for the 33rd Walk for Awareness with Breast Cancer Action Kingston on Saturday, September 19 at Lake Ontario Park.

There's no set distance, but the 2.3 km waterfront loop to Elevator Bay Park takes about 40 minutes, and new this year you can walk virtually from wherever you are. It's $20 for walkers 13 and up and free for 12 and under, solo or as a team.

The money stays local: treatment care packs, post-surgery comfort pillows, peer support, and cancer research at Kingston Health Sciences Centre through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.

Fall has an unofficial mascot, and on Saturday you get to build your own.

Kingston Community Health Centres hosts its free Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, September 19 at its Weller Site on Weller Avenue, rain or shine, with wagon rides, bike check-ups, Irish dancing, games and a BBQ.

To make your scarecrow, bring an old set of child-sized clothes (sizes 3 to 6X), a small cloth pillowcase or bag for the head, and a hat. One scarecrow per family, and kids need a parent or guardian with them.

Dust off the bell-bottoms. The Museum of Lennox & Addington in Napanee is turning 50, and it's throwing a seriously groovy weekend.

Tonight, Friday, September 18, the museum stays open late for a vintage market (clothing, home decor, records and baked goods) and a Vintage Fashion Show emceed by Becky Hinch. Friday admission is $5.

Saturday, September 19, the market is back, museum admission is free all day, and Quad Squad YGK brings free roller skating to the parking lot, with loaner skates while they last and late-'90s and 2000s hits from Brad Gibson. Helmets are a must for kids.

The Ferris wheel is up. The 194th Kingston Fall Fair opens today, Thursday, September 17, and runs to Sunday, September 20 at the Memorial Centre grounds on York Street.

Midway rides, 4-H shows, singing competitions, animals, Artisan Alley and a whole lot of fair food, all from the Kingston & District Agricultural Society.

Gate prices have not budged since last year: adults $10 a day or $30 for all four days, youth 6 to 17 $5 a day, and kids five and under free.
