A successful logo design and a happy customer!

At Lennox and Addington Interval House we believe in new beginnings and a world where all have the right to live free from violence. We have been deciding what symbol would best represent our mission, values, and who we are for quite some time. After considerable thought we landed on the lupin flower (also known as lupines or bluebonnets). We are so much more than a shelter and we wanted our logo to reflect not only our range of services but the reasoning beyond them.

Depending on the source, lupines represent positivity, belief in the self, inner strength, peace, overcoming, and new opportunities. Lupines can thrive in harsh climates and though once believed to drain soil of nutrients, it was found that they actually nourish the ground they are in. They represent growth, transformation, and resilience. We are delighted to have such a strong message behind our new logo and will carry it through everything we do.

Thanks to Debbie and the folks from Allan Graphics for designing a logo that fit this vision.

🎂Friday, August 1st is Murney Tower Museum's 100th Birthday! We'll be celebrating at the Visitor Information Centre (209 Ontario St.) from 11-3 PM.

📖Stop by and listen to a reading of our children's storybook "The Time-Travelling Adventures of Mr. Murney" on the half hour starting at 11:30. There will be crafts, bubbles, and freezies to make this a birthday to remember!
