Spring at WFB means one thing: the publication of beautiful new chapbooks in partnership with Pelee Island Bird Observatory.
This year we released two stunners: Giller Prize-winning author Ian Williams' essay on browsing real estate listings (his favorite hobby) and world-renowned ornithologist Tim Birkhead's essay on Piping plovers and the shape of eggs.
Both authors enjoyed an eventful Springsong Weekend on Pelee Island, where they birded, presented their work, and sang along in the rubber chicken choir with Margaret Atwood.
