NEW: We’re thrilled to share our 2025 Birders on Birds chapbooks — two of the best we’ve published.
Author Dan Mennill, professor of biology at the University of Windsor, explores the question of how birds like the SAVANNAH SPARROW learn the songs they sing. And Wayne Grady, award-winning author of Emancipation Day and other works, uses the unlikely arrival of a BLUE GROSBEAK on Pelee Island, Ontario — well away from its normal range — to discuss why species sometimes veer from their usual habitats.
These two chapbooks, along with a second printing of the previously sold out WOOD THRUSH by Ian Davidson — all illustrated by the wonderful Julie Hall — are available on our site now.
Published in partnership with the Pelee Island Bird Observatory.
