For Thanksgiving 2025 we got together with family and friends and headed to Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville, for the long weekend. Bronte Creek is a beautiful park to go to for the colours in the fall. We held our annual family and friends Thanksgiving get together. This year we did our Thanksgiving meal as a brunch. We enjoyed the park amenities by cycling through it, hiking some great trails including the leash free dog trail and played some disc golf on the 18 hole disc golf course. We had a little mishap, five minutes from home, on the way to the park that almost derailed our plans but we fixed it and moved on.
We also share with you a little family update as well as some of our plans for 2026.

We headed back to to spend 4 nights at Ivy Lea Campground. This campground is ideally located between Brockville, Kingston and Gananoque with so many historical and fun places to visit. We visited and saw the Daily Garrison Parade. We visited the with it's funky lights and music. We did a tour of . The Penitentiary closed in 2013 and is now a very interesting tourist destination. We also spent some time checking out the Kingston waterfront. At the campground we did some very scenic paddling on the St. Lawrence and went under the 1000 Island International Bridge to the USA. We had a great time! You can check out the video here: https://youtu.be/P2DkJ7CZk2M

We finally made it to park #7 of our 7 park northern Ontario trip along the Boreal Route. Halfway Lake Provincial Park is a great family park, close to Sudbury. It may have had some infrastructure issues when we were there but they are easily resolvable to make this a destination park. We cycled, hiked and paddled in the park. We even found a beautiful secluded little beach while paddling on Halfway Lake. Join us as we explore this park. Check out the video here:

No electricity, no comfort stations, no showers, no cell service but lots of beautiful waterfront sites. A hidden gem if you want to get away from it all. That is Wakami Lake Provincial Park. This is the 6th park in a 21 day, 7 park trip in northern Ontario along the Boreal Route. We camped at Wakami Lake Provincial Park from Friday August 8th to Monday August 11, 2025. A time to kick back and relax with friends. You can check out the video here: https://youtu.be/CRhWRSZEH6M

We headed to the 2025 Toronto Fall RV Show from October 17th to the 19th. We held a meet & greet at the RV Lifestyle Magazine booth from noon to 2 pm each day and got to meet a lot of great, like minded people. We also made our way around the show checking out all the great RV's. We even found The Happy Camper Kevin Callan, taking in the show and doing some seminars. It's always good catching up with him. Join us as we check out some RV's and even a big tent that pops out of a little utility trailer. You can catch the video here: https://youtu.be/TkCCp3t-fzM

This is the 5th park in a 21 day, 7 park trip in northern Ontario along the Boreal Route. We camped at Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park from Tuesday August 5th to Friday August 8th, 2025. This park has the details dialed in. A lot of little things add up to make for a great stay at this northern park. The leash free dog beach with the Puppy Lending Library and the Red Pine beach with the Toy Lending Library are great additions that other parks should emulate. Ivanhoe Lake is great for paddling and motor boating and Saw lake is great for a quiet leisurely paddle. Both lakes offer superb fishing. There is also quality hiking and cycling. We really enjoyed this park and I think you'll see that in the video. You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/Zz0LhgmJ_8E

This video is out of order from our current video releases but we wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. We went to Canisbay Lake Campground in Algonquin Provincial Park from October 1st to the 6th, 2025. No only did we have great weather and beautiful fall scenery but we got to experience it in a brand new travel trailer. This is not one of our usual park reviews. This is the 4th park in a 21 day, 7 park trip in northern Ontario along the Boreal Route. We camped at Kettle Lakes Provincial Park from Saturday August 2nd, to Wednesday August 5th, 2025. Twenty two kettle lakes in this park with many available by a rugged road. This is a great park for cycling with 3 dedicated cycling trails to accommodate every level of cyclist. A few nice sandy beaches and lots of tiny, calm lakes for paddling. Hiking, biking, paddling and meeting lots of people while doing laundry. We had a blast!
