We are currently on our 21 day, 7 park trip up north doing a mini-boreal route. We're doing Marten River PP, Finlayson PP, Kap-Kig-Iwan PP, Esker Lakes PP, Kettle Lakes PP, Ivanhoe Lake PP, Wakami Lake PP and Halfway Lake PP. In the mean time we have a Battery Review for you. We reviewed the 300 amp hour Vatrer Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, testing it in a real camping experience. We used it in our 30 foot travel trailer for a 3 night camping trip without hookups. This battery worked great and the Bluetooth app kept me informed of all my power usage in the trailer.

We camped at our all time favourite Ontario Park campsite, at Pog Lake Campground in Algonquin Provincial Park from July 11th to the 15th, 2025. From hiking the brand new Fork Lake trail, to cycling the Old Railway Bike Trail, to paddling in kayak and on paddleboard on Pog Lake and the Madawaksa River, this trip was just what we needed. It's been years since we've camped at Elora Gorge Conservation area and we almost forgot how great it is and so close to home for us. It was a hot weekend with the humidex in the 40s. Cooling off by tubing down the Grand River was a huge highlight of this trip. We also visited the village of Elora and did a little wagering on the horses at the Grand River Raceway that is right across the street from the park. Check out the adventures in our YouTube video.

I've been waiting over a year for this to finally come available. This is the Bluetti AC180T Power Station with two hot-swappable batteries. Pair it with the Bluetti MulitCooler and one of the batteries goes into the MultiCooler giving it three days of run time. The MultiCooler is a fridge, freezer and an ice maker. We camped at Laurel Creek Conservation Area from May 28th to the 31st, 2025. This park in Waterloo, Ontario is only 12 minutes from our house. It made for a great getaway at a busy time when we had to stay close to home. We camped, hiked, cycled and kayaked our way around this park. We explored the area, going to the , St. Jacobs Antiques Market, Jack's Family Restaurant, Stockyards Brewing and the town of St. Jacobs. Lots of fun stuff to see and do in the area. What's your favourite camping game? That's a questions we asked our friends when we camped at MacGregor Point Provincial Park from May 15th to the 20th, 2025. It was the Victoria Day long weekend aka "The May Two Four". We had a lot of our friends join us on this trip. Some good quality time was had. This isn't an official park review as we've already reviewed this park more than any other parks. We have three reviews of it! Lots happened on this trip from Ben having a tick feed on him, Cheryl getting a flat tire on her bike, asking our friend's their favourite camping games and lastly, resolving our "trailer wiring fault" warning that we've been dealing with for a few years. Ticks are in all the parks! They spread various diseases including Lyme Disease. Health Canada reports 5239 new reported cases of Lyme Disease in humans in 2024. That's more than double the 2525 cases reported in 2022. In next weeks video from MacGregor Point Provincial Park, a tick attaches to Ben's leg.
