HOT MESS HOTLINE: Dear Jeff, KP & Backstage Ben, my husband and I both work full-time, but ever since he took a promotion that has him checking emails at all hours, I feel like I'm competing with his job for attention. At the same time, my Mom recently moved in with us temporarily, and while he says he supports it, he makes little comments that leave me feeling caught between them. To make matters worse, a co-worker at work has been noticing how stressed I am and has become a little too easy to talk to, which is making me question whether I'm looking for emotional support in the wrong place. My husband says I'm distant, I say he's unavailable, and now every conversation turns into an argument about something completely unrelated.

How do I save my marriage when work, family, and resentment all seem to be pulling us in different directions?

Luke & Rae: Waterloo Region reported 22 e-scooter accidents from Jan. 1 to Aug. 17, 2026, compared with 28 in all of 2025 (and these are just the ones actually reported to police).
Just a reminder, stay off the highways, the speed limit for a scooter is 25km/hr, the minimum age is 16, and protect that melon…get a helmet!
