About Pertin-nce:

Created by Quebec City producer Maxime Tanguay in 2005, Pertin-nce has been one of those nearly hidden netlabel treasures that has consistantly churned out a unique spectrum of offbeat electronica for the sheer pleasure of creation -- patiently

and steadfastly holding to an ethic of playful experimentation and open collaboration amidst an ever expanding and evolving digital music scene. Distribution:

Pertin-nce started of as a net-label & CD-R label from Québec, Canada to promote and distribute emerging sounds within the genres of: techno, house, digital dub, ambient, minimal & experimental. Pertin-nce releases free electronic music via its own web site pertin-nce.com and also sells other music on sites like Beatport, Wasabeat, Emusic, Juno & others. Release history:

The first free MP3 singles (usually only one track) featured catalog numbers from "P1" to "P28". The CDr releases include catalog numbers: Pertin_01 to Pertin_04 plus Pertin_13, Pertin_18 and Pertin_31. In December 2006 the net-label relaunched its web site with a new look and started back a new release catalog with the re-release of the album "Still My Beating Heart Beats" by Aidan Baker. Since then Pertin-nce
EPs & LPs have followed on a regular basis. The early 28 single releases were made available once again via the Internet Archive (www.archive.org). Pertin-Nce Shows

In 2009 Pertin-nce launched a series of dj mixes called The Pertin-nce Show. Released bimonthly on Myspace, Facebook, Percussion Labs and Mixcloud, the mixes utilize samples, loops and tracks from Pertin-nce artists recombined and layered with additional releases from like-minded labels. pertin-nce links :

Lichen Chips live Beat VU for the Pertin-nce Show (live) édition..

Interesting fact: JD is a long time friend and he is the one that made the two versions of the Pertin-nce web site back in 2005.

He is also the guy that created the coolest underground web radio in Canada : La Face B

And he also happens to be a butt kicking dope Deejay and awesome selector!!
