Ever stopped to take a look around while Kayak Fishing?

Sometimes we're so busy dealing with cameras, microphones, tackle, and trying to find the fish that we forget why we fell in love with kayak fishing in the first place!

No engine noise, minimal gear, and a 12 foot chunk of plastic surrounded by the sea.

Lingcod and Rockfish season is here!!!!

Here's a list to help make your time on the water more enjoyable!

🎣Style- When you look good, you fish good, the Gibbs Polarized Sunglasses make sure you get extra Style points while on the water, as well as protecting your eyes from the sun, and flying hooks!

🎣Tackle- We prefer swimbaits to using bait especially while kayak fishing, not having to pull gear up to check bait saves a ton of time especially when smaller fish are in the area. The Lighthouse Lures/ Gibbs 6oz swimbaits are amazing for 100' of water or less. And the "Glocaine" pattern is definitely a new favorite!

🎣Dispatching- We all want to make sure our catch suffers the least amount possible before it ends up in the freezer, having a quality bat makes all the difference, the Gibbs 18" Aluminum bat is incredibly light, and lighter means a faster swing! It also sounds amazing!

🎣Cleaning- Fish are slippery! But the Gibbs Fish Cleaning Mat adds that extra grip to keep fish in place, quality knives are also important, and guess what!? Gibbs also has you covered with their lines of Fillet knives, and Guide Series fillet knives.

🎣Freezing- Last but not least a quality vacuum sealer is a must! We use the Wevac CV12 chamber vacuum sealer, after going through countless traditional vacuum sealers.

🎣Pro tip- DO NOT FREEZE FULL LENGTH FILLETS! Sure they look cool but breaking them down to more manageable sizes helps a ton to avoid freezer burn. Ask us how we know....or don't! 🙄

It's Official!!!

Canada now has a Saltwater Kayak Fishing Team!

We're so excited to be able to represent Canada on the world stage of competitive kayak fishing alongside some incredible Saltwater anglers!

Flights are booked, gear is being packed, because in only 2 shorts months we'll be heading out for our first tournament, IN PANAMA 🇵🇦!!!!!!

What happens when an unstoppable force meets and immovable object?

NOTHING! We just sit here and stare at eachother! 😂

What an absolute pleasure it was to be in a standoff with such an amazing animal, neither side giving an inch, first one to blink loses.

Finally the monkey is off the back! a fish 4 years in the making but worth all the misery from the past.

Can't wait for the next one!

Hopefully it's a bit smaller! 🤣🫣🤘

With an insane selection of tackle to choose from courtesy of it's quite comical that we only used one spoon and flasher combo to catch all of our Salmon this season! 🤣

Summer, Winter, Morning, Evening, doesn't matter, our first setup going into the water is always the "YES Bananas" Skinny G and Blue Oki Squiggle flasher.

Apparently anglers are creatures of habit! 😂

What's your go-to Salmon setup? 🎣
