Happy 66th Birthday to Chris Potter, Heartland’s Tim Fleming! 🎂🎉

Today, August 23, we celebrate Chris Potter, the Canadian actor best known to Heartland fans as Tim Fleming, father of Amy and Lou Fleming. Born on August 23, 1960, in Toronto, Ontario, Chris turns 66 today.

Chris has been an important part of the Heartland TV show since its early years, bringing Tim Fleming’s complicated but deeply family-focused story to life. CBC also lists Chris Potter among the stars of Heartland’s Fall 2026 season, continuing his long journey with the Fleming-Bartlett family.

Outside Heartland, Chris has built a long career as an actor, director and producer. Fans may also recognize him from Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Silk Stalkings, The Good Witch movies and his voice work in the X-Men animated world. Away from acting, Chris and his wife Karen have raised four children together.
