Today we're taking a moment to appreciate the province we proudly call home. From the communities we serve to the relationships we've built over the years, British Columbia has been the foundation for so many incredible conversations, collaborations and opportunities.

While Day Media works with clients across Canada and nationally, BC will always be where our story began and where many of our strongest partnerships continue to grow.

On a personal note, if this post is arriving a little later than usual, it's because our Founder & CEO, Olivia Olczak Day, spent August 1 celebrating another trip around the sun 🎂 with family and enjoying the long weekend festivities. Sometimes the best marketing decision is simply to unplug and be present with the people who matter most. 💫

🌸 Elegance in Bloom. Entrepreneurship in Full Bloom.

We're still catching up on a season packed with incredible events, and this one was certainly worth the wait.

Back in May, Day Media Founder & CEO Olivia Olczak Day had the pleasure of attending the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce's Celebrating Women in Business - Elegance in Bloom at the beautiful Whonnock Lake Centre. From the venue to the conversations, it was one of those evenings that reminded us why thoughtfully curated events leave such a lasting impression.

And what an experience it was! Guests were welcomed with a playful touch of mystery as they knocked on an elegant door knocker to reveal a beautifully crafted amuse-bouche waiting behind the door. Signature beverages were thoughtfully paired by colour and branding, proving that every detail had been considered (well done Maier and the team👏). And the food... another well-deserved nod to our friends at Roots, who continue to impress with memorable culinary experiences.

The evening's keynote speaker, Danudjaja, Founder & CEO of Blume, was equally memorable. From her Dragons' Den appearance to building Blume into a nationally recognized wellness brand with approximately $7.5 million in annual sales and products in more than 4,000 retail locations, her story was grounded, authentic and refreshingly honest. Rather than focusing on success alone, she spoke about resilience, staying true to your vision, and building a brand with purpose.

Olivia couldn't help but notice a trend this spring. Between Karen, Minhas, and several other founders we've had the privilege of hearing speak, one message continues to rise above the rest:

The strongest businesses aren't built by chasing transactions, they're built through relationships, community, and showing up in the right rooms.

That realization couldn't come at a better time.
