COMING THIS FALL!

RECKONING completes the story of Lucy, who realizes that the only way she can move past the terrorizing events of her traumatic youth is to triumph over her deepest fears.

In RECKONING, Lucy’s life has changed. She knows it’s time to conquer her fear of the self-described Prophet, Josiah, whose psychological abuse and cult-like religion destroyed her hometown and resulted in her brother's death.

As she begins her efforts to find and expose Josiah, COVID-19 sweeps the world, plunging everyone into isolation and halting Lucy’s plans to bring Josiah to a reckoning for the damage he has done.

Now, the pandemic is coming to an end. Lucy knows she must face her worst nightmare if she is to carry out her plan to end the Prophet's domination of his newest congregation. Only then will she break free of his hold on her.

Helen Webster has completed the first draft of the final book in her Lucy trilogy, called Reckoning. We're now editing it here at Silverdog Publishing. When that process is complete, the manuscript will go out to Helen's beta readers for their valued comments. Following that, there will, of course, be some revisions. Then, off the the printers! Reckoning should be published well before Christmas if everything goes according to plan.

Coming in November! Book Two of the Lucy trilogy tells the story of a young woman who has already escaped the influence and traumatizing actions of a cult leader in her small Alberta hometown. In WHISTLEBLOWER, she has changed her name and appearance, managed to get a university education, and now works for a large children’s charity in Toronto. She suspects malpractice at the senior management level there, and knowing the harsh consequences often suffered by whistleblowers, must decide whether or not to report the wrongdoing.
