I woke up to this story, and its that kind that challenges you!. My God!!!

Inside the walls of New Bell prison in Douala,(Haven been there for a visit to detained minors, I bet you, it is not a place to be), few would have imagined that a song recorded there would one day be celebrated on an international stage. Yet that is exactly what happened when "Sa Ngando," a track by an artist known as Empereur, earned an award at the Tribeca Festival in New York.

Released in 2022, the song was more than just music. It was born from a label created inside the prison itself, with both the audio and its official music video shot entirely within those confined walls. What might have seemed like an unlikely setting for artistic ambition became instead the birthplace of a story now being told across the world.

News of the award has since drawn attention from major international outlets, including the BBC, BBC Afrique, and Brut, turning a spotlight on a project many Cameroonians admit they had never even heard of until now.

Note that, the Tribeca Festival Awards, was founded in 2002 to aid the economic and cultural revival of Lower Manhattan after the September 11 attacks, the event was called the Tribeca Film Festival until 2020.

It now features film, episodic series, talks, music, games, art, and immersive experiences and also hosts more than 600 screenings for roughly 150,000 attendees annually and honors independent artists in 23 juried competitive categories.

For a song created behind bars in Douala, Cameroon, to be recognized on a global platform is a powerful reminder that circumstances do not have the final say over what people can achieve.

For the men and women involved in bringing this project to life, the walls of New Bell were not the end of possibility but merely a starting point. Their story now stands as encouragement for anyone who feels boxed in by their environment: with relentless effort and belief, success can indeed hit anywhere, and from anywhere.

Well, dear family, something has been on for a while, reason for the break!!!.

Our media house Season Media and the organizing have been behind the team cooking fine-tuning this initiative!.

That of preparing and distributing 3,000 Meals to the vulnerable populations of the 6 neighborhoods in the city of Douala.

This August, we are coming together to make a real difference.

We are launching a major social impact initiative to prepare and distribute 3,000 meals and drinks to 750 families across six neighborhoods in the city of Douala.

The event will also be broadcast live nationwide on Season Media, allowing people across Cameroon to witness the power of solidarity in action.

Beyond sharing meals, this initiative is about restoring hope, strengthening community bonds, and reminding every family that they are not forgotten.

🤝To this effect, we are calling on:

- Volunteers ready to serve with compassion.
- Sponsors and partners willing to support this noble cause.
- Individuals who believe that every meal can change a life.

Together, we can transform generosity into action and ensure that no family is left behind.

This is really amazing...

Well, the 23rd edition of the World Football Jamboree, is ongoing on the American soil, with a lot of happenings, in and out of the stadium.

But the most remarkable, as at now, so far environmental protection is concerned, is what the Japanese fans have set out to do.

While most fans celebrate and leave after the final whistle, Japanese football supporters are known for staying behind to clean the stadium, something they did in the previous edition in Qatar.

Armed with garbage bags and a strong sense of civic responsibility, they quietly collect litter from the stands, thereby, turning a simple act into a powerful lesson on environmental stewardship.

Their actions remind us that contributing to a cleaner environment doesn't always require grand gestures.

Having reported on garbage and dump sites, plaguing our cities, it got me thinking;

What if each individual, for instance decided not to throw dirts on the streets, public places or gutters?.

How can we develop such mentality in our society?
