The Ponoka Jubilee Library has released its six-month progress report.

The report shows that the facility welcomed 33,759 visitors from January 1st to June 30th, and that so far this year revenues are 4.8% higher than originally anticipated.

Ponoka RCMP's latest crime stats show a significant reduction in overall criminal activity.

The statistics for April through June show a 19% decrease in overall crime when compared to the same period in 2024. This has been mainly driven by a decrease in property crimes.

Work has begun to ramp up on Ponoka's Highway 53 Corridor Improvement Project.

Some of the recent work has involved electrical trenching along the roadway, as well as base work in preparation for the expanded multi-use trail.
