It was our best guy’s birthday yesterday! We were too busy partying for me to get this posted so better late than never!

Brett is the biggest supporter of this small business. He is always encouraging me and ensuring me that I’m the best photographer in the world. He’s pretty much the greatest ever.

I thought it would be fun to do a 5 things you probably don’t know about Brett and let you all get to know him a little better!

1. He gets up before 5:00 A.M four times a week to workout. He is the definition of a morning person. He has enjoyed a full day before I usually get up! Haha Maybe that’s why he still fits in his jeans from high school and I don’t? 🤷🏻‍♀️

2. Brett is super goal oriented. When he sets a goal he gives it his all and does what is required to accomplish it! He doesn’t make excuses, just gets it done.

3. He is a killer Rook player. He has taught me well and we are a pretty dang good partnership! He also never gets mad at me if I make a mistake. He is the perfect amount of competitive for me!

4. Nothing makes him laugh harder than a funny story about our kids! Whether it’s a silly thing they’ve said or done, he loves it! I always have a handful to share when he gets hike from work and it’s the best.

5. Brett LOVES chocolate. Peanut mnms, Ferrera Rochés, brownies, and Eatmore bars are his treats of choice lately and I always try have one or more hidden in the pantry for him. I’m just that good of a wife! 😉

He’s my favourite person and I am grateful every single day that he’s mine!

My boy is 5. Beckett is all the good things in the world wrapped into a little boy. His dad is his hero, he’s best friends with his sister, his cousins are his favourite, he is obsessed with dinosaurs and can tell you all about them, he loves to play bey blades and basketball, he wants to spend his time with his grandparents, and he loves me and truly wants me to be happy.

He was my rainbow baby who came and healed my broken heart. I love nothing more than being his momma and I would do anything for him! I’m so glad he came to live at my house.

I didn’t even make one animal sound or have to pretend to tickle anyone to get this shot! 😉 I’m used to toddlers but turns out teenagers are pretty dang great too!

He did it! He was so brave and had the best morning. There may of been some tears from him, myself, and Lola but Brett held us together and we did it! It was all I could to do not to lose it when he wanted me to hold him and not go into the school. I wanted to bee line it back to the car but I was mature and didn’t...😉 When Becks headed inside Lola said with tears in her eyes, “I’m really going to miss him.” 💔

His teacher told me he was very quite but so sweet. Sounds like my boy. I’m so proud of him. I can’t believe he’s old enough for this but I’m so excited for him! He came home talking about his new friends, the class rules, and the cool new toys he played with. It’s going to be a great year!

Last night when I was uploading this gallery and this photo popped up I knew it was a winner. I started editing it and Brett walked in and said, “Oh wow. That mom is going to love that!”

Sometimes it just takes one photo to make the whole session worth it! I know how much effort it takes to get your family to me. From the outfits, to the bribes, to the last min workouts to try and lose just 5 more pounds, to the financial sacrifice, and so much more. That’s why I show up and work my hardest for you! I want it to be 1000% worth it.

I can pin point the one photo in every session I’ve done with my own family where I go, “Yep, totally worth it!”. Do you guys do the same thing? If you do, I wanna see it! Tag me in a story, a post, or send me a DM showing me your favourite photo from a past session! It doesn’t have to be shot by me either. I am just curious! Call it research. Beckett went to play with some friends for a bit today and when he left Lola asked me, “Mom, can you maybe call Roxie and see if she can come play with me? I’ll be a nice girl!”
Long distance relationships are hard. Even for those cutie pie 3 year old girls. Christmas can’t come soon enough! Unless the border opens, cause if it does we might escape to Utah and make her cousin play date happen. 🤍⁣⁣

Well my busy season of shooting is slowly winding down. The next few months are busy but not quite as packed as June-July was! So if you need me, I’ll be in front of my computer editing until my eyes quit working.

I am so grateful to each and every person who has supported me this year. Despite the craziness of 2020, you all showed up for me. Whether it was getting in front of my camera, commenting on a post, telling a friend about me, or encouraging me through a DM, I’m so grateful for it all.

I truly love what I do. There is no greater job on the planet for me! This I am sure.

These two are welcoming their 4th little babe to their family in November! Aren’t they the cutest?

Honestly, every pregnant women needs a hype-man like Matt. He just stood back telling Chloe how gorgeous she looked, all while keeping 3 babes busy and out of trouble! I loved it.

Some dads aren’t thrilled to be taking photos. Brett gets asked a lot how he deals with all the photos he gets taken of him and his reply is “I know who I married when I married her!” He is definitely like Matt and makes the best of it! Is your husband/partner a photo hater, a tolerater, or a photography enthusiast??

I will be offering fall mini sessions this year and I am so excited about it! There are a really limited number of spots for this location! It’s in Cardston by the river and it has the most amazing trees, rock path, and views! It isn’t a spot open for public use so I won’t be offering this location again this year, this is your only chance! These would be perfect for a Christmas card, just sayin!

He's here! My Little nephew came to the studio yesterday and rocked his newborn session! We are all so in love with baby Jay already! How gorgeous is his momma! You can see why he is so cute!
Since I am only 3 weeks out from a csection, Kaylee Ralph Photography came and did the heavy lifting and shooting and I did the editing! Pays to have two photographers in the family!
