To our Friend…
Tony Anselmo was more than a record store owner. He was a deeply rooted thread through the music scene of Greater Sudbury and beyond.
At CKLU, we know that over the years, Tony’s influence, inspiration, passion, and powerhouse presence was on the record, for the record(s), and steadfast in his determination to book the most amazing and unique blues and oddity shows for Sudbury audiences to mystify and educate us all, musically speaking.
Our DJ’s, Board of Directors and Staff from over the years all had our experiences and occasions to share in Tony’s wit, wisdom and laughs… each and every one of those moments will never be forgotten, as those interactions where always charged with a powerful passion for music, the community and the unfiltered truth of the matters at hand.
There will only ever be one Tony Anselmo, and we are all better off having known him in his time with us on this pale blue dot.
Kind Sir, we hope you finally get to listen to the ENTIRE Zappa Discography and Archive (Bootlegs included) that float with you in the great beyond.
We miss you already.
