A new Research Co. poll found 58% of British Columbians oppose changing the province’s name to acknowledge its Indigenous heritage, while 28% support the idea. Support was strongest among younger residents, reaching 43% among those aged 18 to 34.

The poll also found 26% support changing B.C.’s flag to remove the Union Jack.
