Hi, my name is Dan! I have autism, ADHD, OCD & Dyslexia. I created The Aspie World YouTube channel back in 2013 and released videos to share my experiences and help others understand how I navigate the world as a late-diagnosed autistic adult. My content focuses on autistic traits and how to spot them at any age and gender! I share my own coping strategies, hints, tips and tricks for acing life on

the spectrum. Over the years TAW has grown into an amazing community, where we support each other and grow together, providing me with a platform to educate and empower other autistic people and their families! Ultimately my goal is to show how autism isn’t as bad as it is often made out to be, in fact, I would go as far to say it is totally awesome! Peace Out, Dan xx

Ben Carter, a 14-year-old boy from Devon, England, had severe autism and could not speak. Since he was two years old, he would only drink from one specific blue Tommee Tippee cup with two handles. It was the only cup he trusted.

The problem was that the cup had been discontinued more than 20 years earlier. As Ben's last replacement cup started wearing out, his family became worried. Ben refused to drink from any other cup. In fact, he had already been taken to the hospital twice because he became dehydrated after refusing other cups.

Desperate for help, Ben's father, Marc Carter, posted a photo of the cup on social media. He explained that his son would rather go to the hospital than use a different cup. The post quickly spread across the internet and was shared thousands of times. People from different countries searched their homes and sent old cups to the family.

The story soon reached Tommee Tippee, the company that originally made the cup. Determined to help, the company searched for the original mould used to make it. Amazingly, they found the mould at their factory in China.

Tommee Tippee then produced 500 identical blue cups and gifted them to Ben and his family in December 2016. Marc said receiving the cups felt even better than winning the lottery.

The story touched many people around the world. Marc also used the attention to raise awareness about autism, reminding people that every autistic child is different and has unique needs.

Free Brain Module at www.bulletproofbrain.org As an autistic and ADHD adult, I know how intense neurodivergent life can feel sometimes. A lot of autistic people and ADHD adults experience sensory overload, emotional regulation struggles, executive dysfunction, masking, burnout, anxiety, and overwhelm in daily life. Understanding autism, ADHD, sensory processing, dopamine regulation, and nervous system support completely changed how I see myself and my brain. The more I learned about neurodiversity, the easier it became to stop blaming myself and start building systems that actually work. If you’ve ever felt mentally exhausted, overstimulated, emotionally drained, or misunderstood, you are definitely not alone. One thing I’ve learned as an autistic and ADHD adult is that a lot of the struggles we deal with are misunderstood by people who have never experienced a neurodivergent brain.

Things like sensory overload, executive dysfunction, emotional regulation struggles, masking, burnout, social anxiety, rejection sensitivity, routines, and mental exhaustion can affect daily life in ways that are difficult to explain to other people.

For years I blamed myself for things that were actually connected to autism and ADHD.

I thought I needed more discipline, more motivation, or to “try harder.” What I actually needed was understanding, better systems, realistic expectations, sensory support, and recovery time.

The more I learned about autism, ADHD, nervous system regulation, sensory processing, and mental health, the easier it became to stop fighting my brain and start supporting it properly.

That changed everything for me.

A lot of neurodivergent people are living in survival mode without realising it. Constant masking, people pleasing, overstimulation, burnout, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm can leave you exhausted even when other people think you are “doing fine.”

This is why education and self understanding matter so much.

You are not lazy.
You are not broken.
You are not failing.

Your brain may simply need different support systems.

That is why I create content around autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, coping strategies, confidence building, emotional regulation, burnout recovery, sensory processing, and executive functioning. I want more autistic and ADHD adults to feel understood and supported instead of ashamed.
