Savor Butter-Basted Lobster Tail with Seared Scallops Tonight!
Hello there, lovely friends! If you’re looking to impress with an extraordinary seafood dish, I’ve got just the recipe for you. Today I whipped up Butter-Basted Lobster Tail with Seared Scallops, and let me tell you, it was a hit! The flavors blend beautifully, and it’s easier than you might think. Just imagine the smiles around your dinner table when you serve this delicate treat!
Ingredients:
- 2 lobster tails (6-8 oz each)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 6 large sea scallops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, lift the meat, and place it on top of the shell.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush this delicious garlic butter generously over the lobster meat.
3. Bake the lobster tails for about 10-12 minutes until the meat turns opaque and takes on a lovely golden hue.
4. While the lobster is baking, pat the scallops dry and season them with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and add the scallops, searing them for 2-3 minutes on each side until they're beautifully golden.
5. In the final minute of cooking the scallops, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet and let the flavors meld together.
6. When everything is ready, plate the lobster tails alongside the seared scallops, drizzle with melted butter, and garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Don’t forget the lemon wedges for that citrusy zing!

1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 garlic clove (minced)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
4 large potatoes (peeled and cubed)
4 tbsp unsalted butter
½ cup heavy cream
3 garlic cloves (minced)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
For the Vegetables:
1 head of broccoli (cut into florets)
2 ears of corn (halved)
2 tbsp butter (for corn)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
For the Creamy Sauce:
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup beef or chicken stock
½ cup heavy cream
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
Boil potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and return to the pot.
Add butter, heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Cover to keep warm.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak:
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to your preference). Add butter and smashed garlic, and baste the steaks for extra flavor. Remove from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes.
3️⃣ Grill the Shrimp:
Toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
4️⃣ Steam the Vegetables:
Steam broccoli florets until tender but still vibrant green. Boil corn until tender, then brush with butter and season with salt and pepper.
5️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce:
In the same skillet used for the steak, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute. Slowly pour in stock and heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Simmer until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
6️⃣ Assemble and Serve:
Plate the garlic mashed potatoes, top with the steak and grilled shrimp. Add broccoli and corn on the side. Drizzle the creamy sauce over the steak and potatoes. Garnish with parsley and serve!
