Starting September 3, London residents will have more ways to report non-emergency bylaw concerns online through the Service London Portal. The expanded reporting options include occupant noise such as parties and loud music, general noise from construction or equipment, barking dogs, property standards violations, vermin and pest infestations, and other bylaw complaints. The City says the change will make reporting easier and connect complaints directly with the appropriate municipal team. Residents reporting noise concerns should now use the Service London Portal instead of contacting London Police for non-emergency matters. The City says residents will also receive immediate confirmation after submitting a concern.

Western University welcomed more than 6,000 first-year students to London as move-in activities got underway for the new academic year. Students and their families arrived on campus with cars packed with belongings, marking the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of newcomers to the city. The busy move-in period brought plenty of activity to the university and surrounding neighbourhoods as residence buildings filled up. Volunteers and university staff helped students settle into their new homes and navigate the transition to campus life.
