The demonstration will be a platform to bring attention to the lack of protection afforded to Black Ontarians under the current Human Rights Act, particularly in light of the systemic injustices and growing concerns about the safety of Black youth. Recent statistics reveal an alarming increase in the disappearance of Black youth, yet there has been insufficient law enforcement intervention and minimal media coverage of this issue. This absence of action has only deepened the community's distress and sense of abandonment.

The goal of our demonstration is to provide an opportunity for the Black community to openly discuss the systemic challenges we face, as well as to propose pathways for legislative reform. We are calling for the immediate implementation of anti-Black racism laws, as our community’s lives and safety must be prioritized. For too long, we have endured police brutality, discrimination, and societal barriers that prevent us from living free from stereotypes and unjust treatment.
