Rumor: Canceled Transformers Game 'Project Goliath' Leaked
Another Transformers video game project has reportedly been shelved, with recent leaks offering a glimpse at what it might have looked like. Dubbed Project Goliath, this now-canceled Transformers game was never officially announced, but details about it have surfaced online by way of concept art and development details shared by multiple sources.

The cancelation of Project Goliath comes on the heels of a disappointing blow for Transformers fans. Just earlier this year, developer Splash Damage announced it had canceled Transformers: Reactivate, a multiplayer game revealed by the studio in December 2022. Transformers fans were quite disappointed with the decision, since the franchise hasn't received a major game adaptation since 2015's Transformers: Devastation. Unfortunately, the bad news clearly didn't end with Transformers: Reactivate.

Rumor: New Mario Kart Blue Shell LEGO Set Leaked

Another Mario Kart-based LEGO set might have just been leaked, this one being modded after the infamous and iconic Spiny Shell power-up. Nintendo and LEGO have been partnering together to produce building sets based on the former’s most recognized franchises for a few years now, with a few drawing from the Mario Kart series. Donkey Kong's DK Jumbo Kart and Toad's Garage have been recreated in LEGO form, and earlier this year LEGO announced a massive Mario Kart set based on Mario himself.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new LEGO Mario Kart sets being released in 2025. Earlier this month, a new wave of Nintendo-based LEGO kits was announced, including three modeled after characters, vehicles, and locations from Mario Kart. Starting on August 1, fans will be able to add Mario's standard red go-kart, Wario's purple hot rod, and King Boo's Teddy Buggy to their buildable garages, as well as race through Bowser's lava-filled castle.

Flappy Bird is Back With New Content
An updated version of the classic mobile game Flappy Bird has been released on the Epic Games Store. After a decade of relative silence from the simple-but-addictive series, a new developer has taken on the mantle and is making bold moves with the Flappy Bird brand.

The first iteration of the infamous title was created in 2013 by Vietnamese developer D**g Nguyen. It became a viral sensation in the following year, amassing over 90 million downloads across iOS and Android platforms. The considerable media attention that Flappy Bird received often leaned into the negative, which led to Nguyen removing the game from app stores in early 2014. Since then, he has lost the trademark to the Flappy Bird name, and it has been acquired by an independent organization that recently developed an enhanced reboot of the title.
