Earlier today, a tragic stampede occurred at Islamic High School, Basorun, during a family-focused event. This devastating incident has claimed multiple lives and left many others injured, marking a deeply sorrowful day for all of us in Oyo State.
To the grieving families, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We share in your pain and mourn the loss of precious lives that were cut short too soon.
Immediate measures have been taken to prevent further harm. Security personnel have been deployed to maintain order at the scene, while medical teams and ambulances are on-site to provide critical care to the injured. The event has been terminated, and attendees have been safely evacuated. Every effort is being made to secure the area and ensure the safety of all involved.
